Our standards

Useful. Sourced. Clear about the limits.

The goal is not to publish the largest possible number of Indiana pages. It is to help a reader make a better next decision. These standards apply to the city guides, regional hubs, buyer education, and lifestyle stories.

Primary sources first

Buyer education links to agencies such as the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, Indiana DLGF, IHCDA, and Indiana DNR. Destination guides use official parks and municipal resources. Each guide includes a source list so readers can verify current information.

Initial reference checks are dated November 2, 2026. A date is not a promise of continuous monitoring. Program terms, fees, property conditions, boundaries, hours, and access can change; verify them with the responsible source before acting. We avoid publishing unsupported market prices, appreciation claims, or investment returns.

No invented local experience

The author attribution is Crossroads Editorial. It represents the publication, not an invented reporter, agent credential, or claimed visit. Suggested itineraries are described as planning frameworks. We do not claim to have driven a route, inspected a home, or tested a business unless that work is actually documented.

Generative tools may assist drafting and illustration. Their output is not an independent source. Images are labeled as illustrations and must not be treated as accurate depictions of a specific property or current local conditions.

Commercial relationships are disclosed

Crossroads may receive payment from agents for buyer inquiries or introductions. Buyer CTAs and the introduction policy disclose that relationship. A CTA does not indicate that an agent has been vetted, that inventory is available, or that a match is guaranteed.

We do not publish invented testimonials, review counts, transaction totals, certifications, or a fictitious agent network. Any future sponsored placement should be clearly identified as such and kept distinct from editorial guidance.

Describe places without steering people

We focus on property types, infrastructure, access, maintenance, official resources, and readers’ stated requirements. We do not recommend or exclude places based on protected characteristics, resident demographics, broad safety labels, or assumptions about who belongs in a neighborhood.

School assignment and program questions belong with the responsible school authority and the reader’s own evaluation. A city name or third-party ranking is not a substitute for an address-level check.
